Varimin - the program
The statistics program Varimin calculates PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and Varimax and Varimin rotations of initial (unrotated) factors. Its input may be raw data or intercorrelation matrices of variables. The program is dubbed Varimin even though Varimin rotation is only part of its performance.
|Installer|| - ||Double-clicking the installer after downloading it on your computer will install varimin.exe on your system.
Required operating system: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8.
|User's guide|| - ||Novices among users of varimin.exe might save time by using, in the beginning, a print-out copy of the pdf-guide.
|Usages|| - ||On the next page are provided helpful accounts of exemplary Varimin rotations and comparisons with common Varimax rotations.
William Revelle's R package 'psych' from version 1.5.1 onwards (Revelle, 2017; R Core Team, 2016) also allows varimin rotated factor analyses as well as PCAs.
